God has convicted me about how I treat my body. Since my body belongs to Him, I know that I am only the steward of my body. I try to treat it carefully, even in the area of how much rest or sleep I get each night. Hebrews 4 is a passage that speaks a great deal about rest. Admittedly, much of is talking about that ultimate, eternal rest that we will enter into some day with Him. But Hebrews 4 also describes our earthly rest as being like an appetizer we have before the main course. Before we enter into eternal rest in heaven or the afterlife, we should be aware of that rest we can enter into now in His Spirit. Verse 3 of Hebrews 4 says, "For only we who believe can enter into this place of rest." Have you moved into a place of rest with God? It is where He desires you to live, and to sleep!
